That depends on the realm. If the realm is very popular at peak times the player and donator slots will both be full. To get around this you can purchase a donator rank to get priority access to join the realm. You can find the prices and perks that come along with the donator Ranks on the store.

You just choose a different realm in the hub. If you mean transferring progress across realms we won't do that for you.
