Possibly add a notice about PvP "rules"

Participated in an event recently and to put it simply, was forced to play it the way the mod wanted because of some unspoken rule. I was hiding in the dirt pits and an archer station (which I now wonder why is a part of the map) I found out about it mid match(es) by getting tp'd out in the open. We argued a bit, if you can call it that. I was told to "Drop it please, thanks" and he immediately kept up the argument with "Like I said it's PvP not HideNSeek" "You don't have to play if you don't want to, nobody forced you." -which is quite the opposite of "dropping it" I obviously wanted to play and never indicated that I didn't want to. I joined the event, didn't I? That was simply something people say when they want to exclude someone in a manner that seems like the exclusion is up to the other party, but is in fact on the part of the mod. I asked if he wanted to have a dialogue or if he simply wanted to have the last word and was actively telling me not to respond so that he could. "Drop it pls thanks" was his response. My point is, if you're going to have people enforce these subjective and arbitrary rules on people (don't confuse the one I'm referencing with the others. I'm not lumping those together, I'm talking about the unwritten PvP one) don't have them find out by getting sabotaged mid event. Guy was using his mod status to bully me out of my say in the matter afterwards on top of it. Put up a sign or at least have the mod say something about it in the event announcement. Without the context of an actual rule, it's simply a matter of doing things the way they want it because they said so. I'm grateful for how smooth things run on the server, which can be directly attributed to the admins, mods and helpers. I'm not trying to undermine anyone's work on the server by any means, but I'm not gonna comply with a mod who uses their power/influence in such a way simply because they're a mod. All of that could have been avoided with a simple notice. I'm not trying to alienate anyone or get anyone into trouble here (note the lack of usernames), I just think that the experience was dreadful as a player and a small change could prevent someone else like me from experiencing the same thing.

It depends on what server you play on as each server treats it differently, also depends on the host.
