Help to connect

Hi,
I am using the Technic Launcher and I get as far as to click "Join Server", but I get a "null" message back. What can be wrong, please?
I have Java installed and a Xbox subscription with Minecraft. Is it the subscription that is the problem? Or maybe my firewall?

The full message I get after trying to join the server is:
"Failed to connect to the server
Failed to login: null

Hello! I'll be trying to help you out here,

Firstly, try Logging Out and then Logging In on your Minecraft Launcher (not Technic), and then trying to Rejoin the server.

If that doesn't work, then try this step by step guide which may sort the issue out:-

1. Go to https://account.xbox.com/settings

2. It will probably tell you to log into Microsoft so log in
(if it doesn't say it and directs you to the website, make sure you're signed in)

3. If you don't have an Xbox account, it will ask you to make one, so make any account.

That will direct you to the website

4. If you scroll down, under your username and Avatar it should say "Xbox one/windows 10 online safety" click on that

5. Scroll down until you see "You can join multiplayer games" allow or block,

6. allow this

7. Relaunch Minecraft and you should be able to join
