Appeals

I fail to understand why there is no conversation that takes place from an appeal. My friend and i got jailed for what we assume is trading pokemon to fill our pokedex as is one of the core points of pokemon and as far as we could see was not against any rules.(We are very new to pokemon and are not necessarily knowledgeable on pokemon or "prices") We had received a warning for trading an articuno that told us we needed to immediately trade it back so we did but we continued to trade as the message did not say trading was wrong just that it was too expensive to trade. We both got jailed and tried for an appeal but were told we continued to break the rules, but as far as we could tell trading for pokedex is not against any rules. Regardless my issue is not with wether i should be free or not but that the appeal does not have any conversation in any way, you get a short explanation and if the mod or admin misreads the appeal or doesnt understand anything they just close it. Why is there not a process to try and understand where i went wrong or to try and communicate about the issue. I received my warning then i corrected what i thought i was doing wrong then i was punished but no one took time to explain just that "i had kept doing it" but as far as i understood i did not keep doing it. I feel the appeals should definitely be a conversation, the rules should be clearer in explaining what is wrong, and details should be given as to why you are punished not just "this is the rule you broke".

(Later my friend had told me that one of the later mons i had traded was expensive but i had checked them with /price and it did not have a price listed so i officially did break the rules again but i had to go to other sources to find this information out.)

Hello! Although I'm unaware of what the whole case is, let's point out some stuff here:
-Appeals aren't necessarily a chatting tool. It's just a quick tool for you to show why your punishment should be lifted, and a yes or no answer from the staff team. It's okay to not understand rules and, even when understanding it, being confused to it, or simply not agreeing with staff's answer to the appeal too, which can be discussed further with your realm's staff and, if you still think you have issues while debating with the staff who answered your appeal, you can reach your realm's Admin or a Manager about the case (easier to do via Discord).

-Regarding dex trading, there is a rule about it:
• /dex trading any Pokemon valued over $100k according to /prices. (Warning, then Jail) This includes trading Pokemon of similar value back and forth.
Since you never said which Pokémon you traded for the Articuno, I can't do much else here, as the Articuno shouldn't be the reason that triggered the warning & jail since it's valued under $100k (may vary from realm to realm, unsure from which you play too as it was never mentioned), as rules have been updated to be based on price. I'd suggest you to talk to your realm's staff that issued & answered your appeal for better clarification.

Hope it clarified a bit how the things you mentioned work, if not feel free to reach to me. Again, since there isn't enough information (such as your ingame name, realm you play at and the other Pokémon traded in this situation) I can't tell you if it was right or wrong, but if you believe that your appeal has been falsely rejected, can reach for your realm's Admin (can check in this website or in /warp staff ingame) or a Manager. Hope you a good one, and sorry for the late answer ^^
