I fail to understand why there is no conversation that takes place from an appeal. My friend and i got jailed for what we assume is trading pokemon to fill our pokedex as is one of the core points of pokemon and as far as we could see was not against any rules.(We are very new to pokemon and are not necessarily knowledgeable on pokemon or "prices") We had received a warning for trading an articuno that told us we needed to immediately trade it back so we did but we continued to trade as the message did not say trading was wrong just that it was too expensive to trade. We both got jailed and tried for an appeal but were told we continued to break the rules, but as far as we could tell trading for pokedex is not against any rules. Regardless my issue is not with wether i should be free or not but that the appeal does not have any conversation in any way, you get a short explanation and if the mod or admin misreads the appeal or doesnt understand anything they just close it. Why is there not a process to try and understand where i went wrong or to try and communicate about the issue. I received my warning then i corrected what i thought i was doing wrong then i was punished but no one took time to explain just that "i had kept doing it" but as far as i understood i did not keep doing it. I feel the appeals should definitely be a conversation, the rules should be clearer in explaining what is wrong, and details should be given as to why you are punished not just "this is the rule you broke".
(Later my friend had told me that one of the later mons i had traded was expensive but i had checked them with /price and it did not have a price listed so i officially did break the rules again but i had to go to other sources to find this information out.)
